The DevOps Engineer role at QiCAP owns the infrastructure that research and production trading systems run on. That means continuous integration and delivery, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure as code, and the observability that tells us what is actually happening in a live system. It is a broad remit with real consequences: when a research pipeline stalls or a production service degrades, this is the function that sees it first and fixes it. We expect roughly two to six years of experience across CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD; containers and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm; infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi; and at least one major cloud, with cloud networking understood rather than merely configured. Monitoring and logging across Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Zabbix, and workflow orchestration with Airflow, round out the role.
What you’ll own
- Own CI/CD pipelines for research and production systems end to end
- Run container orchestration and the cloud infrastructure beneath it, managed as code
- Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting that makes live behaviour visible
- Operate data-pipeline and workflow orchestration for research jobs
- Respond to and remediate infrastructure incidents, then remove their causes
What we look for
- Roughly two to six years in a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering role
- Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go
- CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD
- Docker and Kubernetes in production, with Helm or equivalent
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi, on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including cloud networking
- Monitoring and logging with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Zabbix, or Autosys, and workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow
